So Screwed

You know the feeling that you get in the bottom of your gut whenever you know something ain't going right.... well.. I've got this feeling about my studies. =(

Unlike previous times when i know what I've covered and what I've prepared, this round, I've gone through the notes really fast, but nothing is registering. Feel REALLY REALLY SCREWED. I'm 10 more pages left to the end of the readings, sans case study, and i have no idea what I've read.

Another gripe I've got. Why do people in management have to write so many "theories", when half the time it's "common sense". With all the models, research etc etc. Just making my life more difficult I reckon. Potters theory and what not.... blah... So many models and theories, don't know where, when or how to apply. If I've got a say, everything in management texts will be consolidated into a paragragh.

Seriously, writing so much to say one sentence.... I will never understand!

Another Taiwanese series bites the dust..

I've finished watching "Wei Xiao Pasta" also known as Smiling Pasta.

Bought the disc on Monday... was done with it by Wed !! woo hoo.... hehee...

The main actor is a Malaysian. Zhang Dong Liang. Apparently he won a singing competition a couple of years back in Malaysia. He has done well for himself. Reckon he'll be more popular after this series.

His songs in the show is decent, so's the lead actress. I'm not going to go into details. All i'll say is, it's relatively entertaining, very similar to Full house.

So it's 1 down and 3 more series to go.... the other 3 are Korean series... Oh, did I mention that I've got exams coming up in exactly 2 weeks from today.... *help*!

The Cruise

Back from the Department trip..... aka Cruise to Singapore...

It's a relatively big boat.. ok ok, not exactly a boat. They had Karaoke, 3-4 eating places, library, "arcade", games room, 2-3 lounges, a swimming pool... (SMALL)AND a casino... which was the size of my room.. X 2 to 3.. which is REALLY SMALL if you really want to talk about catering to a boat full of gamblers... no wonder the place is always brimming.

Excellent Food. It's really non stop eating, what with the buffet lunches and dinners AND (the main highlight for me) THE CHOCOLATE BUFFET...!!!! Enough said isn't it... I could eat chocolate morning, day and night... =D They even had Champagne with the rim of the glass coated with chocolate... YUM..... SLURP!!!!

Entertainment during the day was not exactly awe inspiring. Yoga class, Brazilian Dance, Who wants to be a millionaire.... I chose... SLEEP... hehee... Well it WAS that time of the month.... back and stomache pain and what not... Not exactly the best time to come... ;) ok... too much info.

The cabin was clean and newer then expected. Though it's small, which was what i already expected. One comment my boss made after the trip: the toilet is so small, if you're fat, how are you going to go into the shower??!! She has a point...

Night entertainment without a doubt was KARAOKE.. One of my colleague sings Wang Lee Hom's "Forever Love" really well (and he wasn't even trying!). Sigh... a precondition for my future night in shining armour... to be able to sing THAT song well!!! =D

Department trip....

This year's department trip is early. We're having it in April.

It's going to be a cruise down to Singapore where we dock off for 8 hours then get back on and cruise back to KL....

Yes....... laugh why don't you... even I have wondered about the logic behind the 8 hours stay. Must as well don't bother right??

Anyway, since Juliann's going to be back that weekend, I've decided to jump ship.... I'm going to get off at Singapore and find my own way back on Monday evening.

Yes friends! I'll be back for a couple more hours longer!!! You'll have to bear with me... muahahhaa... =p

BMW F1 Party!!

WWOOOHHHOOOO!!!!!

The place was fantastic! From an empty car park, within 2-3 weeks, they converted it into a "mini" track with booths and a double story lounge...

My colleagues and I went over to check out the place.. They had displays of the race cars, games, trial runs on changing the actual tyres, refueling, photo taking with the cars... It was great!!

I managed to get invites for the lounge party too. Free flow of juices, champagnes, wines and beers.... Finger food. There was life piano performance and Nick Heidfeld was there too!!

At 9pm, they had a mini demonstration of stunts with the F1 car and there was bike stunts too. It was really AWESOME!!!!

Going to the race this weekend. Really psyched up!!
