Farewell

It's been raining all day. It's as though the sky has opened and is crying for our loss, loss of a loved one.

This morning my maternal grandma passed away. She was apparently drinking when everything came spewing out, then she fainted. She never recovered from the faint. Prior to that she wasn't feeling well, been having diarrhea problems. She was supposed to make a trip down to the docs this morning. Needless to say, she never made it there.

Grandma has never been really strong. She had stroke a couple years back and beginning of this year, she was hospitalised again. She hasn't been able to walk properly ever since.

I suppose now she's gone to a better place. No more suffering.

Dear 婆婆, though I was not close to you, know that you will be missed. I guess all I want to say is "Farewell". From you grand daughter..

A Day @ D Aquarium!!

Actually it was supposed to be an outing to Malaysia Philharmonics Orchestra. We were SUPPOSED to watch a piano performance. Pieces by Mozart -- Don Giovanni etc.. It's a matinee. Smart casual... NO JEANS AND SLIPPERS... Yep brilliant me thought since it was matinee it didn't matter. I was in JEANS SKIRT AND SLIPPERS.. not to mention I told J Low that it's ok to wear Jeans. The only smart one was Mr Wong. (To think we were giving him sh*t about dressing so formally..) My mistake! Should have double checked before going. sigh..

Well, as you've probably heard... second time lucky??!! hehee... we're going to try it out again. I've bought the tickets this time and I've passed on the message.. NO JEANS + NO SLIPPERS + NO SHORTS + NO T-SHIRT + NO SNEEKERS.. Same time same place =D

All was not lost on Sunday though. We walked around KLCC, had lunch, coffee, dinner and dessert... not to mention a bit of shopping. AND the highlight of the day... THE AQUARIUM!!! It's not big, but it was real interesting with all the various sea animals there.. There was a "petting zoo" hehee... actually there were 3 tubs where they placed various sea animals for us to touch... crabs, crayfish and some other sort of fish which i can't remember.. Then there were the HUGE turtles we saw ... bigger than me!! Serious!! And all these was before the actual show began.... ie the "underwater world"...That is one place where we felt as if we were part of the eco system?!! BTW, Have you ever noticed that some sharks are evil looking..think Jaws... We saw 4 divers in the aquarium "touring" the underwater sea live.... quite funny coz 2 of them decided to do a little "dragon ball" episode. Fire ball and all ...The aquarium is definately worth a go at least once.

Reckon I wouldn't mind visiting the one in Singapore. it's been a while since i last went there.

Here's a picture of Eugene attempting to look "shy". (Not working Eugene..) Notice the name on the doll...

Towed

Tried out the new Lancome service centre on Sunday. Overall the facial was good. I signed up for the package it was a really good deal. All you have to know is, at the end of the day, per session is 1/2 the original price.. One thing though... my facial therapist could learn to add "gentle" to her vocab...

After the facial session, was supposed to meet a friend. He was supposed to fetch me from the Curve. Didn't go very far though... Actually, didn't go anywhere. His car died. =D

Must say, first time "experiencing" car being towed... although it ain't mine..

In the end, we dabao dinner and ate in his car while waiting for the tow truck. Note... O'Brien sandwiches rocks!!

After the car was put out of commission... ie over at his place, we went on to the Bangsar Pasar Malam. Bought biscuits there.. you know the one's when you eat as kids.. and to quote my colleagues.. the "bai sen" biscuits.. (for prayer)

Well, all i can say about dinner, it's something different...

Week of the weddings...

Well, the last 3 weeks were pure STRESS!!!!

Work was crazy... just trying to complete and send out a report ...grrr.... words are beyond me.. Before i can finish one task, more stuff comes into the in-tray.. I swear...someone's conspiring against me!! When I'm free, I'm damn free, When I've got things to do... it seems all the work comes in at that one time. Madness!!! All I'm glad to say is.... I'm more or less done, just got to clear up my "war torn" table. The amount of papers and files on my table..sure felt like i was surrounded by the great wall of china..

As the title said... week of the weddings... actually i attended 3 weddings over the space of 2 weeks. I would go into details... but I'm just plain tired ... what with helping out with church wedding, attending wedding dinner, waking up early for chee moi session, going for another wedding dinner... then there was the company's annual dnd.... then another wedding dinner the next day..

finally there's time to rest this weekend.. =D yay!! 5 days to go... woohoo..
